Vibrance, Style, Eloquence, and Humility are a few titles that come to mind when the name of Ernest Estimé is said. Born and raised shortly in Brooklyn then moving to a rural but segragated town of Long Island, he began writing during a warm summer night of September 4th, 2006 at the adolescent age of 18. Within 3 months of ever writing poetry, he became a finalist for the Urban Word NYC Grand Slam (A very challenging competive poetry slam for youth). Ernest's performance style is quite rare and unique. He carries class, while keeping a youthful swagger, with an intellectual output of his raw emotions. He is very passionate about the upliftment of Long Island in the public eye unveilng the many talent this suburb has to offer. Quoted from one of his poems saying, " I got Brooklyn on my chest, and Long Island on my BACK!"

He is a two time member of the Suffolk County Community College Poetry Slam Team, competes yearly in the national collegiate slam. Ernest's believes that his gift is not of his talents, but is a testament of the power of God. When asked "who do you write for?" Ernest replies " I write for the Mr. Popular kid that's afraid to show his poetry that he secretly writes because his friend would think he's soft, I write for that kid getting bullied constantly and can't catch a break until he reads this poetry". Ernest also plans on bringing social awareness to Haiti, which is his passion. This is Ernest Estimé, good to meet you.
